Description
Recently, I was preparing for an art show and painting longer hours than I have ever in my whole life. There is a first time for everything. I was working so hard, my hand became swollen, red, and when I put the brush down to stop...my hand was kind of stuck in this formation.
I don't know why...but I decided to photograph it. A permanent reminder of first time I painted so hard that it hurt.

Love the detail in and originality of this. Very nice in B&W and good to see you don't bite your nails :) v/f

Thank you Dean! It was a spur of the moment shot. I did bite my nails for a long time, but when I was in boot camp I stopped. I was working in scullery, cleaning dishes for a week and my hands touched such gross things all day that I couldn't bring myself to put my hands in my mouth. They say it takes 7 days to break a habit. It was true for my nail biting. I lost the reflex to bite my nails in 7 days. My nails are usually very long but I have to cut them off when I paint because of how dirty they get....;)
